Quabbin Reservoir ~ an amazing “accidental wilderness” with an equally amazing history when its creation caused four towns to be  “drowned.”  The great city of Boston and 45 surrounding towns gets its water supply from the Quabbin.  The bald eagle flies freely here.  Step on guide available on motor coach tours through Salem Cross Inn.
